COVID-19

What does cycling in Kingston, Ontario look like in the time of COVID-19?

Riding your bicycle can be a great form of exercise in the fresh air while adhering to social distancing guidelines. If you are not symptomatic or infected with COVID-19, cycling extends how far you can travel to buy groceries and pick up prescriptions without sharing a vehicle.
While cycling opens up our neighbourhoods when many are feeling locked-in, cyclists cannot ride with groups or friends. Group rides and social rides have the potential to spread COVID-19, even if riders are keeping 2 metres apart. The only exception is for groups of riders who are cohabiting with each other.
The Kingston waterfront pathway and K&P Trail currently remain open. The City of Kingston urges residents who use the trails to practice physical distancing.

We’re all learning to adjust to life during this pandemic.  Stay well and enjoy riding your bicycle!
