What is the Cyberspace Cycling Camp? This fun online cycling safety camp has daily activities designed to explain and show you important tips and techniques before, during, and after your bike ride to help you be safe on the trail and road! The camp has activities and instructions for five days, but you can choose when you what to start with Day 1.
What happens in this camp? The camp has different videos, activities, and games released daily (5 days) for you to learn about cycling safety, both on and off your bicycle. You’ll discover how to do a quick safety check before you ride, the correct way to adjust and wear a helmet, how to plan where you ride, rules of the road, how to signal and make turns, and a whole lot more! Our Cycling Ambassador, Lauren, demonstrates and explains important cycling skills with her “ride along” videos that take place around Kingston. Campers can ask any questions they may have in the comment sections below!
How much time will I need to do this camp? Activities and videos for this year's camp are designed to be at your own pace! You can spend as much time as you want or need to complete the activities and remember you can watch the videos as many times as you like.
How old must I be to participate? Kids ages 8 years and up will like this cycling skills camp. Older kids and even adults can be Cyberspace Cycling Campers too!
Will I need my parents’ permission to go to this online camp? Yes, if you are under 14 years old, ask your parents permission before going online to sign up and before practicing the cycling skills on the road. Is there a fee, and how do I sign up for the camp? This Cyberspace Cycling Camp is free – no charge! However, remember that if you’re under 14 years old you must have your parents register on this webpage before accessing our online activities.
